A delegation from Kuwait Ice Hockey Federation participated in the Annual Meeting of the International Ice Hockey federation (IIHF) in Switzerland, Zurich, attended by representatives of national associations from different parts of the world.
This meeting saw a vote on number of rules and regulations related to the game, including some regulations related to foreign players participation, as well as the endorsement of the previous meeting attendee.
The groups of the upcoming World Championships for men and women, and two u20 and u18 categories were also reviewed, along with the requirements and preparations of the sportwear for the national teams participating in upcoming World Championships were discussed.
This participation comes as a part of the Kuwait ice Hockey Federation ensuring that it follows international updates and promotes its presence in global concerts, which contributes to the development of the game and the level of the national teams.

In the new sporting milestone to add Kuwaiti sports record, the state of Kuwait has officially earned the right to host 2027 IIHF WM Div IV Group A to continue strengthening its status as a sporting destination capable of organizing and hosting the largest international tournament.
This hosting comes as result of the great efforts of the Kuwaiti sports family, and continues support for the development of winter sports, reflecting the confidence of the international community and the ICF in Kuwait’s organisation potential.
We are looking forward to receiving the teams and sports delegations from different countries of the world in Kuwait, and presenting an exceptional version befits the name of Kuwait and its sporting status.
